Following in the footsteps of the wildly popular Wishes Dessert Party at the Tomorrowland Terrace in Magic Kingdom, Disney announced the Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party at Epcot. Why is this a big deal? Well, Illuminations Dessert Parties have been popular with large groups to get together for bits and bevs on one of the waterfront patios around the World Showcase. But the pricing minimums make it hard for individuals or even individual families to have this experience. This new event makes that possible. It’s still kind of pricey. $49 for adults (ages 10 and older); $29 for children 3-9. From the Disney Parks Blog: This new offering will take place at Epcot’s Showcase Plaza, a perfect place from which to view “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and will run from 7:45-9:20 p.m. The menu will include the best sweets from several international pavilions, including tiramisu and Prosecco from Italy; Vanilla Pot de Creme from France; baklava from Morocco and much more. Reservations are now open. You can’t book this online. So if you are interested, call Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE. Will you try to get in on this party?
Frozen’s Anna and Elsa are moving to Fairy Tale Hall in Magic Kingdom starting April 20. The even better news is that they will part of FastPass+ Character Experiences through My Disney Experience. In case you are wondering why this is HUGE…right now, Anna and Elsa have been greeting guests in Epcot. And the average wait time has been 3-4 hours. That is not a typo. So the opportunity to see Disney’s newest princesses using FP+ is such a time saver. As of March 14, you can see that they are loaded in to MDE: This is a screenshot from May 3, 2014 at Magic Kingdom. Now, I have not yet been to Walt Disney World since Anna and Elsa have hit the scene. But I know that we’ll need to see the super sisters! And if I can use FP+ to manage my schedule and help me have a great experience, I’m all for it. What do you think? Will this make it easy for you to see Anna and Elsa? New Disney survey is asking for feedback on changes to the FastPass Plus system. I’m particularly excited by this line: Guests would be able to make Disney FastPass+ selection in more than one park per day. Finally! They are thinking about guests who do park hop. There were several options presented: Who in their right mind would not want 7 or more selections? Above are all the options that were being talked about. I like the last one! Finally, I like what I’m seeing in this survey (convoluted that it is). Disney seems to be thinking about modifying FastPass+ and make it more user friendly. What do you think? Do any of these options seem like a good direction to you? Hit the comments below and tell us what you think.
